DevOps Engineer – SAP & Data Operations

About the role

As a DevOps Engineer – SAP & Data Operations you will support and optimise business-critical production processes, ensuring reliable daily data processing and smooth operations. You will work across production support, incident resolution, data analysis and small development activities in an Agile environment.

In this role, you will:

• Monitor daily production processes and ensure successful completion of scheduled workloads.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents, including root cause analysis and solution implementation.
• Analyse reconciliation issues between source data and processing results.
• Work with stakeholders to resolve data delivery or configuration issues.
• Continuously improve monitoring, operational processes and production stability.
• Perform analysis, development and testing for small change requests.
• Support complex changes and integrations, including onboarding new source systems.

What you bring

• Good SQL knowledge.
• Experience with scheduling tools, ideally ANOW (Automate NOW).
• Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps and Git.
• Good knowledge of SAP environments, particularly:
• SAP HANA Cockpit
• SAP HANA Studio / SAP HANA Database Explorer
• SAP Business Application Studio
• SAP BW Process Chains
• Data Engineering skills and a good understanding of production support.
• Basic development, testing and business analysis skills.
• Understanding of ITIL/BiSL principles.
• Agile/Scrum mindset.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive approach with clear communication and a strong customer focus.

Nice to have

• SAP Cloud ALM.
• SAP BTP Connectivity Service.
• SAP GUI and DIC basics.
• Experience supporting complex enterprise data processing environments.
