DevOps Lead

We are looking for a hands-on DevOps Lead to own our infrastructure architecture, reliability and security, while building an agentic Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practice.

You will lead two DevOps engineers and design secure, scalable cloud environments across markets and licences. A key part of your role will be defining how AI agents support production operations, from incident triage and investigation to controlled remediation, with clear permissions, approval workflows and human accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Architecture & Reliability

• Own the design and evolution of our AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes environments and Terraform infrastructure as code.
• Design environments for individual markets and licences, ensuring appropriate isolation, resilience and regulatory alignment.
• Define service-level objectives (SLOs), monitoring standards and reliability improvements.
• Own incident management, escalation procedures, on-call practices and post-incident reviews.

Agentic SRE & Operational Automation

• Build the agentic SRE operating model, defining what agents can triage, investigate and remediate autonomously, and when human approval is required.
• Own the infrastructure Model Context Protocol (MCP) layer, including tool access, permissions, guardrails and audit trails.
• Establish agents as first responders within defined boundaries, with people accountable for critical decisions.
• Equip Production Operations with agent tooling that reduces manual monitoring and repetitive operational work.
• Validate agent actions and improve automation through production feedback, measurable outcomes and safe rollback mechanisms.

Security, Compliance & Cost Management:

• Embed security and least-privilege access into infrastructure and agent workflows.
• Define controls that limit the impact of automated actions, including approval gates, execution boundaries and traceability.
• Support compliance requirements, licence audits and infrastructure security reviews.
• Own cloud cost visibility and optimisation, including LLM usage and token spend.

Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor and develop two DevOps engineers.
• Set technical priorities, engineering standards and delivery expectations.
• Partner with Engineering, Production Operations and Security to balance delivery speed, reliability and compliance.

Must-Have Experience:

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps or SRE, including 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Strong hands-on experience operating AWS, Kubernetes and Terraform at scale.
• Proven ownership of production reliability, incident management and on-call processes.
• Demonstrated experience running agentic operations in production, such as MCP servers, AI-driven incident triage or automated remediation.
• Ability to design guardrails for AI agents in regulated environments, including approval workflows, audit trails and controls that limit the scope and impact of agent actions.
• Experience leading engineers while remaining actively involved in architecture and implementation.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in iGaming or other regulated environments, including ISO 27001 and licence audits.
• Experience building an internal AI operations platform or Slack-based ChatOps with agents.
• Familiarity with evaluation frameworks and observability for LLM agents.
• Experience with OpenTelemetry.
