DevOps Manager

We are seeking a hands-on Platform & DevOps Engineering Manager to lead the team responsible for cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, test infrastructure, and AI coding-agent tooling. This role combines people leadership with technical ownership of the engineering platform, enabling product teams to move efficiently and safely from pull request to production.

About the Role

You will drive platform reliability, automated testing, and the adoption of AI-assisted software development across web and mobile applications. This position requires balancing hands-on engineering contributions with team leadership and strategic platform decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Platform and DevOps engineers, including hiring, setting technical direction, and contributing hands-on throughout the week
• Own the AWS platform end-to-end, including infrastructure as code, Kubernetes, CI/CD, deployment environments, observability, incident response, and cloud cost management
• Lead the Agentic Software Development Lifecycle (ASDLC) practice, ensuring AI coding tools operate safely, align with engineering standards, and continuously improve
• Partner with product engineering teams to embed automated testing and verification into web and mobile release workflows
• Build and improve deployment environments and CI pipelines that support the increasing volume and pace of agent-generated code changes
• Establish delivery baselines and reduce bottlenecks across CI, code review, and quality assurance
• Guide on-call operations, incident response, and ongoing platform reliability improvements
• Collaborate with product and engineering leaders to define the platform roadmap and communicate investment priorities and trade-offs through written proposals and decision records

Requirements

• Experience managing Platform or DevOps engineers while maintaining hands-on engineering responsibilities
• Proven experience leading teams through production incidents, on-call operations, platform growth, and AI or agentic development adoption
• Strong technical expertise in AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL
• Production experience supporting a broad portfolio of web and mobile applications
• Practical experience integrating AI coding agents and large language model (LLM) tooling into the software development lifecycle, including CI integration, evaluations, guardrails, and cost controls
• Experience improving engineering-wide adoption of AI development tools
• Strong understanding of CI/CD and automated regression testing, including maintaining fast, reliable test suites and helping teams transition from manual to automated testing
• Ability to use delivery and reliability metrics to guide team development and improve processes
• Excellent written communication skills, with experience building alignment in a remote, asynchronous environment
