DevOps Release Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Devops Release Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space. This role will lead operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a manufacturing environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Drive execution of the software release checklist end-to-end, ensuring timely accountability across phases
• Execute release planning by coordinating scope with managers and setting realistic release dates
• Manage source control branching and versioning strategies, developing scripts for build and deployment
• Ensure quality controls are met by collaborating with QA before code freeze and conducting go/no-go meetings
• Facilitate communication regarding release status across multiple departments and stakeholders
• Design and monitor build and deployment pipelines while maintaining detailed release documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or specialized coding training
• Proficient in Microsoft.NET build and packaging tools such as MS Build and Visual Studio
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and version management
• Experience with scripting languages like Powershell and Python
• Familiarity with Agile project management tools, particularly Atlassian JIRA
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment orchestration using Azure DevOps
• 3+ years in Release Engineering, DevOps, or a similar role
