DevSecOps Engineer

DESCRIPTION:

We're building a talent pipeline and proactively connecting with engineers interested in DevSecOps opportunities over the next 3–6 months. While this isn't an immediate opening, strong candidates will be prioritized as roles become available.

We're hiring DevSecOps Engineers to design, automate, and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure and deployment pipelines. If you love automation, security-first infrastructure, and enabling teams to ship faster and safer, this role is for you.

You'll take ownership of end-to-end infrastructure and security solutions, working in an agile, collaborative environment where security integrates seamlessly into development workflows. This is a high-ownership role spanning cloud platforms, CI/CD automation, infrastructure-as-code, and security hardening.

This is a fixed-term contract role, 12–24 months engagement (flexible based on project needs).

What You'll Likely Work On

• Develop automation and processes to enable teams to deploy, manage, scale, and monitor applications in cloud environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve system and application issues across platforms; participate in on-call escalations for critical incidents
• Provision virtual machines, databases, application containers, and licenses for development teams
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines, incorporating streamlined change management and release processes
• Develop scripts and automation tools to support software build, integration, and deployment across environments
• Automate configuration management of development, QA, and production workloads
• Design, build, optimize, and monitor automation systems to identify bottlenecks and maximize availability
• Implement security practices that comply with industry standards
• Plan, implement, and monitor system security architecture, including threat and risk assessments
• Perform security checks: vulnerability assessments, system hardening, and incident troubleshooting
• Apply secure configurations and best practices when implementing security controls

What We're Looking For

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer/Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines
• Passion for automation, standardization, and best practices in infrastructure and security
• Strong experience with AWS cloud platforms
• Experience with central CI/CD platforms and modern development workflows
• Strong understanding of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, Fargate)
• Experience with Git and modern branching workflows
• Experience with disaster recovery planning, system backup, and restore processes
• Proficient with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
• Experience managing cloud-native databases
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring and observability tools

Bonus

• Experience with at least one scripting language (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Go)
• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (KVM, VMware, Hyper-V)
• Knowledge of CNCF tools (Prometheus, Helm, ArgoCD, Istio, Gatekeeper, Crossplane)
• Strong troubleshooting skills across system resources and application stacks
• Experience implementing security controls in CI/CD pipelines (SAST/DAST tools)
• Hands-on experience with security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and system hardening
• Strong understanding of cloud network infrastructure (firewalls, subnets, routing, access controls)
• Web Application/API security, secrets management, and zero-trust architecture experience
• AWS DevOps or CKA certifications
