DevSecOps Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our software infrastructure, ensuring security integration throughout the development lifecycle, and supporting operational excellence. Your expertise will help us deliver reliable, secure, and scalable software solutions. The ideal candidate will be proactive in making updates to existing software, implementing security best practices, and providing training and support to staff.

Duties

• Make modifications and updates to current software applications to improve functionality and performance.
• Incorporate security features and best practices into the development and deployment processes to ensure robust protection of systems and data.
• Conduct training sessions for staff on how to effectively use the software tools and systems.
• Respond promptly to email requests from staff, providing troubleshooting assistance and technical support as needed.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines that include security checks.
• Monitor system performance, identify vulnerabilities, and apply necessary patches or enhancements.
• Develop automation scripts to streamline deployment, testing, and security procedures.
• Stay updated on industry trends related to DevSecOps practices and incorporate new tools or methodologies as appropriate.

Skills

• Strong experience with DevSecOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and security integrations.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar for automation tasks.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with security protocols, vulnerability assessment tools, and compliance standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
• Effective communication skills for conducting training sessions and responding to staff requests.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
