DevSecOps Engineer - Snowflake & CI/CD

Job Summary

We are looking for a DevSecOps & Data Engineer with minimum 5+ years in cloud or data engineering, including CI/CD and platform security experience to support secure, reliable delivery and operation of Investments data platform. The role owns environment automation, deployment controls, access, secrets, and monitoring while contributing hands-on to Snowflake, dbt, and Five Tran pipeline engineering under the offshore data lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain development, test/UAT, and production data environments with controlled configuration and access.
• Implement Git branching, pull request checks, automated testing, and CI/CD for dbt, Snowflake changes, and supported integration components.
• Automate repeatable provisioning and configuration where appropriate using approved infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Implement approved Snowflake roles, grants, service identities, masking controls, and least-privilege access.
• Manage secrets and credentials through approved secure stores; support rotation and prevent credential exposure in code or logs.
• Monitor Five Tran ingestion, dbt runs, Snowflake workloads, and integration jobs; configure actionable alerts and recovery procedures.
• Track Snowflake consumption and performance, investigate anomalies, and implement approved optimizations.
• Support ingestion and transformation development, SQL troubleshooting, reconciliation, and pipeline defect resolution.
• Maintain release evidence, deployment and rollback procedures, access records, and operational audit logs.
• Execute approved deployments and coordinate incident response, root cause analysis, runbooks, and production handover.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Data Engineering, DevOps, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD tools, such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or comparable tooling.
• Strong SQL and scripting skills.
• Practical experience with Snowflake administration or engineering, and cloud security fundamentals.
• Experience deploying dbt projects and supporting scheduled data pipelines and Five Tran operations.
• Practical experience with RBAC, service accounts, secrets management, logging, monitoring, and controlled releases.
• Ability to troubleshoot data platform incidents and document reproducible deployment and recovery procedures.

Good to Have

• Experience with Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Key Vault, Terraform and Python.
• Exposure to Profisee and Power BI environment and deployment operations.
• Snowflake, Azure, or DevOps certifications.
• Experience delivering projects within regulated financial services environments.

Additional Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication, structured documentation and ability to take ownership of assigned tasks.
• Availability for agreed overlap with US Central business hours and planned releases is expected.
