About the Company

Desertman Transporting and Contracting LLC is an Abu Dhabi-based company engaged in transportation and contracting activities. We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Dewatering Foreman to join our team and supervise dewatering operations on construction and infrastructure projects.

Job Summary

The Dewatering Foreman will be responsible for supervising the installation, operation, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of dewatering systems at project sites.

The ideal candidate should have strong practical experience with Well Point and Deep Well dewatering systems, pumps, pipelines, groundwater control, and site team supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily dewatering activities at project sites.
• Install, operate, monitor, and maintain Well Point and Deep Well dewatering systems.
• Supervise installation of well points, deep wells, headers, pumps, discharge lines, and related equipment.
• Monitor groundwater levels and ensure the dewatering system maintains the required water level.
• Operate and monitor dewatering pumps and associated equipment.
• Inspect pumps, pipes, valves, well points, generators, and other equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot problems with pumps, pipelines, well points, and dewatering systems.
• Ensure proper installation and connection of discharge pipelines.
• Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, surveyors, operators, technicians, and subcontractors.
• Allocate manpower and equipment according to daily work requirements.
• Supervise excavation and dewatering activities to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Monitor system performance and report any abnormal conditions immediately.
• Maintain daily records of pump operation, groundwater levels, equipment performance, and site activities.
• Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of dewatering equipment.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for repair and servicing of pumps and equipment.
• Ensure dewatering activities are carried out according to approved method statements and project requirements.
• Follow all project HSE requirements, especially during excavation and underground works.
• Ensure workers use appropriate PPE and follow safe working procedures.
• Assist the site team in maintaining safe excavation conditions.
• Report manpower, equipment, materials, and daily progress to the Site Engineer/Project Manager.
• Perform other duties related to dewatering operations as required.

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in dewatering works.
• UAE/GCC experience is preferred.
• Proven hands-on experience with Well Point and Deep Well dewatering systems.
• Strong practical knowledge of dewatering pumps, well points, headers, discharge pipelines, valves, and related equipment.
• Experience in groundwater control for excavation, foundation, infrastructure, road, or civil construction projects.
• Ability to supervise and manage workers and equipment on site.
• Ability to read and understand basic construction drawings and dewatering layouts.
• Good understanding of excavation and dewatering safety requirements.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot common dewatering system problems.
• Experience monitoring groundwater levels and pump performance.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in an active construction environment.
• UAE driving license is an advantage.
• Candidates currently available in the UAE are preferred.
• Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period will be preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile

We are looking for a hands-on Dewatering Foreman, not a general civil foreman.

Candidates must have practical experience in operating and supervising Well Point and/or Deep Well dewatering systems, including pumps, headers, pipelines, groundwater monitoring, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Experience on large excavation, infrastructure, basement, foundation, road, utility, or civil construction projects will be an advantage.
