DEWATERING TECHNICIAN

About the role

DTL (WA) Pty Ltd is a pipeline, HDPE poly welding and industrial services contractor based in Bibra Lake, Perth. We work on mine sites and remote projects across WA. We have a new project at Bellevue and need a casual Dewatering Technician to join our Operations team. You will report to Project Manager Rhys Scholz. The roster is 8:6.

Key responsibilities

• Run, inspect and maintain bore pumps and diesel pumps
• Look after RO plants and other site services
• Carry out regular inspections and report any issues
• Set out, install and maintain dewatering pipework, including HDPE poly welding
• Train and support site personnel on dewatering equipment and tasks
• Follow site procedures and work safely at all times

About you

• All mandatory tickets and licences for mine site work, current and in date
• C class driver's licence (minimum)
• Telehandler ticket
• Integrated tool (IT) loader ticket
• HDPE poly welding ticket, or competency you can show us
• Dogman licence
• Relevant dewatering or site services experience
• Proven experience in a mining or heavy industrial setting
• Strong background running and maintaining diesel pumps and bore pumps
• Solid understanding of dewatering systems and pipework layouts
• Willing to train others on site
• Must pass a pre-employment medical and provide a current police clearance
• Must have the right to work in Australia
