Dewatering Technician

About the role

DTL (WA) Pty Ltd is a pipeline, HDPE poly-welding and industrial services contractor based in Bibra Lake. We work on mine sites and remote projects across WA. You will work as a Dewatering Technician on a new project at Rama Gold on a 7:7 roster, reporting to our Project Manager, Rhys Scholz.

Key responsibilities

• Run, refuel, service and fault-find diesel dewatering pumps
• Operate and maintain bore pumps
• Lay out, connect and maintain dewatering pipework, including HDPE poly welding
• Read dewatering plans and maps and set up systems to match them
• Use telehandlers and IT loaders to move pumps and pipe, and dog loads
• Work safely and on your own in remote conditions

About you

• Current mandatory site tickets and licences
• C class driver's licence (minimum)
• Telehandler ticket
• IT loader ticket
• HDPE poly welding ticket, or proven competency
• Dogman licence
• Proven experience on mine sites or in heavy industry
• Strong background operating and maintaining both diesel pumps and bore pumps
• Solid understanding of dewatering systems and pipework layouts
• Ability to read and interpret dewatering plans and maps
• Safe work habits and the ability to work independently in remote areas
• Right to work in Australia
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and police clearance
