DG Operator (Diesel Generator Operator)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and responsible DG Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain diesel generator sets to ensure an uninterrupted power supply and safe, efficient operation as per company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor DG sets as per company procedures and safety guidelines.
• Check fuel levels, engine oil, coolant, battery condition, and other operating parameters.
• Monitor generator load, voltage, frequency, temperature, and oil pressure.
• Perform routine inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
• Maintain DG running-hour logs, fuel consumption records, and maintenance checklists.
• Identify abnormal noise, leakage, overheating, or other faults and report them promptly.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs and servicing.
• Maintain cleanliness around the DG area and follow fire safety and electrical safety procedures.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of diesel and other operating materials.

Qualification & Experience

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical trade preferred.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in DG operation.
• Knowledge of DG sets, basic troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to maintain operational records and follow safety procedures.

Required Skills

• Technical knowledge of diesel generators.
• Basic fault identification and troubleshooting.
• Safety awareness and discipline.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including rotational shifts if required.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: ₹20,000–₹25,000 per month, depending on experience and skills.
• Other benefits: As per company policy.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
