About the role

We are looking for an experienced Diagnostic Lab Manager to join our team in Bogor, Jawa Barat. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in overseeing all diagnostic laboratory operations within our organisation. As Diagnostic Lab Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the laboratory operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations. This position is strategically important to our operations, as the diagnostic laboratory supports our manufacturing and logistics functions with essential testing and quality assurance services. You will lead a team of laboratory professionals and work closely with other departments to ensure seamless integration of diagnostic services into our broader operational objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the diagnostic laboratory, including staff scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimisation
• Oversee the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results
• Implement and enforce strict quality control procedures and safety protocols in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Lead, train, and supervise laboratory staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Manage laboratory inventory and procurement of supplies, reagents, and equipment within budgetary constraints
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive laboratory documentation, records, and reports for management and regulatory submissions
• Collaborate with operational teams to identify diagnostic needs and customise testing protocols to support manufacturing and logistics activities
• Investigate and resolve any issues related to test accuracy, equipment malfunction, or non-compliance
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to laboratory efficiency, turnaround times, and quality metrics

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing a diagnostic or quality assurance laboratory in a manufacturing, industrial, or logistics environment
• Proven expertise in laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting
• Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards, quality management systems (such as ISO 17025 or equivalent), and regulatory compliance requirements
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop laboratory teams
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Strong communication skills in Indonesian and English, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) or similar software platforms
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials and waste management
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and maintaining meticulous records
• Experience with statistical analysis and quality trending is highly desirable
• Previous experience in the manufacturing or logistics sector would be advantageous
