Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Diagnostic Tech to join our growing pain medicine practice. This individual will be trained in the VS Diagnostics platform, a 3-step non-invasive clinical evaluation, and will be responsible for supporting daily diagnostic operations, assisting with patient assessments, coordinating testing, and ensuring seamless coordination between departments.

The ideal candidate has experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting, preferably one year of experience using EPIC, excellent communication abilities, and a patient-centered mindset. This role requires someone who is proactive, personable, confident, and comfortable initiating conversations with patients. The successful candidate will take ownership of testing volume and actively seek opportunities to complete testing with appropriate patients rather than waiting for patients to come to them.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• EPIC: At least 1 year of EPIC experience preferred.
• Experience in pain management, diagnostics, patient care, or a similar healthcare setting is preferred.
• Medical Assistant certification is not required, but clinical or healthcare experience is strongly preferred.

Skills & Attributes

• Strong understanding of medical terminology, diagnostic testing, and healthcare workflows.
• Proficiency with patient documentation and navigating EPIC.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with patients and clinical staff.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to independently identify opportunities and take initiative to achieve daily volume goals.
• Confident and personable communication style with the ability to educate and encourage patients regarding testing in a professional, non-pushy manner.
• Strong organizational, teamwork, and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and transition between testing responsibilities and general clinic needs.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach with professionalism under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and patient confidentiality.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods, assist patients with mobility, and lift or move medical equipment as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
