Dialysis Technician

Dialysis Technician is responsible for operating and monitoring dialysis machines, preparing patients for dialysis treatment, and ensuring safe and effective dialysis procedures under the supervision of a nephrologist and nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare dialysis machines and equipment before each session
• Perform hemodialysis procedures as per prescribed protocol
• Monitor patients’ vital signs before, during, and after dialysis
• Observe patients for complications and report abnormalities immediately
• Maintain proper infection control and sterilization standards
• Ensure correct dialyzer reuse and documentation (where applicable)
• Maintain dialysis machines and troubleshoot minor technical issues
• Administer anticoagulants/medications as prescribed (if authorized)
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment logs
• Provide emotional support and basic education to patients and attendants
• Follow safety protocols and hospital policies at all times
