Dialysis Technician

Job Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor hemodialysis machines safely and efficiently.
• Prepare dialysis machines, equipment, dialysate, and treatment area before each session.
• Perform pre-dialysis and post-dialysis procedures as per hospital protocols.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and condition during dialysis and immediately report any abnormalities to the doctor/nursing staff.
• Assist in cannulation and maintain proper care of AV fistula, graft, and dialysis catheter as per scope of practice.
• Maintain strict infection-control and aseptic techniques.
• Handle and maintain dialysis equipment, including routine cleaning, disinfection, and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate records of dialysis treatments, patient observations, machine parameters, and consumables.
• Ensure proper availability and management of dialysis supplies and consumables.
• Respond appropriately to dialysis-related emergencies and assist the medical team when required.
• Follow hospital policies, safety standards, biomedical waste management, and infection-control guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the dialysis unit and equipment.
• Coordinate with nephrologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for smooth patient care.

Qualification

• Diploma/Certificate in Dialysis Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Relevant experience in a hospital/dialysis centre will be preferred.
• Freshers may be considered depending on hospital requirements.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of hemodialysis procedures and dialysis machines.
• Basic understanding of patient monitoring and emergency procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in shifts.
• Responsible, disciplined, and patient-focused approach.

Working Conditions

• Full-time position.
• Shift duties may be required, including emergency/on-call duties as per hospital requirements.
• Must strictly follow hospital protocols and infection-control practices.

Pay: ₹12,500.00 - ₹28,500.00 per month
