As our operations continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Driller with strong Diamond experience to join our team.

About the Role

Working across our exploration drilling operations, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating drilling equipment while maintaining a high standard of quality and productivity.

The role is DIDO from Orange, NSW, with a typical roster of 2 weeks on / 1 week off, although rosters may vary depending on operational requirements.

The position will commence on a casual basis, providing both you and Chief Exploration Drilling the opportunity to make sure it is the right fit. For the right person, we are looking to build a long-term working relationship as our operations continue to expand.

A competitive day rate will be offered based on experience, skills and capabilities.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Proven experience as a Diamond Driller (+ RC Drilling experience valued)
• Strong understanding of exploration drilling operations
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot equipment
• A technical mindset and practical approach to problem solving
• Strong commitment to safety and quality
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for your work
• Previous experience working on a DIDO roster, or a genuine understanding of what DIDO work involves
• Current driver's licence - HR or HC desired
• Relevant drilling tickets, competencies and experience

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Diamond drilling operations in accordance with drilling programs, client specifications and site requirements

• Complete daily pre-starts, inspections and preventative maintenance

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs where required

• Maintain accurate drilling records, metreage, shift reports and other required documentation ensuring all drilling activites are completed in accordance with site requirements and safety standards

• Communicate effectively with supervisors, client representatives and other site personnel

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, equipment care and environmental responsibility

• Work collaboratively as part of the crew while being capable of making sound decisions independently
