Die Casting Operator

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Die Casting Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining die casting machinery to produce high-quality metal components. Your expertise in machine setup, tooling, and quality measurement will ensure efficient production processes and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities

• Set up and operate die casting machines, ensuring proper tooling and machine calibration for each production run
• Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately produce parts
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and manufacturing standards throughout all operations
• Perform precision measurements using measuring instruments to verify part quality and ensure specifications are met
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform minor maintenance or adjustments as needed
• Collaborate with team members on machine operation, tooling setup, and process improvements
• Document production data, quality checks, and any incidents accurately in shift reports

Requirements

• Proven experience operating die casting machinery or similar metal fabrication equipment (preferred)
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Proficiency in using measuring instruments for quality control and precision measurement in machining
• Familiarity with CNC programming, CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, welding, forming machines, and other manufacturing tools is a plus
• Ability to operate hand tools, tooling equipment, press brake machines, CNC lathes, milling machines, stamping presses, and shop math skills
• Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and commitment to safety protocol adherence
• Basic math skills for shop calculations and measurement accuracy
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical drawings and perform machine operation tasks efficiently
• Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and documentation

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
