What they need

Family-Owned. Purpose-Driven.

At Malnove, we create packaging with care — and build meaningful careers.

Die Maker – 3rd Shift (Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM)

As a proudly independent, family-owned company with more than 75 years of industry leadership, Malnove is committed to creating an environment where people grow, teams thrive, and operational excellence is achieved every day.

We are currently seeking a Die Maker to join our 3rd Shift team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, working with tools and machinery, and creating precise, high-quality products. Whether your background is in machining, fabrication, woodworking, mechanical assembly, or another skilled trade, your experience could be a great fit.

Our Die Makers build and prepare the precision cutting tools used to produce folding cartons for some of the nation's leading brands. Previous die-making experience is not required — we're looking for someone with mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn a specialized skill.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and prepare precision cutting dies used in our manufacturing process.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and production specifications to ensure accuracy.
  • Set up and operate specialized tools and equipment, including score benders and water jet equipment.
  • Install cutting rules, knives, and rubber components according to technical specifications.
  • Inspect and adjust dies to ensure quality and proper performance in production.
  • Coordinate priorities with the operations team to meet production schedules.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following company safety and quality standards.

What Sets You Apart

  • At least 1 year of hands-on technical, mechanical, manufacturing, or skilled trade experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude and confidence using hand tools, power tools, or precision equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, or detailed work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality craftsmanship.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to learn new equipment, processes, and specialized technical skills.
  • Solid math skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience in machining, fabrication, woodworking, tooling, mechanical assembly, maintenance, or similar hands-on work is especially relevant. Prior die-making or packaging industry experience is a plus.

Starting Pay:

Please note that the posted pay range is representative of a general starting range for this position. Actual amount offered would be dependent on factors including relevant skills and experience. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
