IMT Transport is a well maintained trucking fleet that takes pride in doing our own maintenance, repair and rebuilding of our own equipment. We have several of our own shops across the country that help us keep this type of quality beyond industry standards.

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Engine Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines in trucks and possibly heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engines, electrical systems, and drivetrain issues.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
• Repair and replace worn or defective parts (e.g., engines & transmissions).
• Use diagnostic tools and software to evaluate engine performance and identify issues.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate findings and repair plans with service managers.
• Perform DOT inspections
• Adhere to all safety standards and company protocols.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification in diesel technology preferred but not required.
• 1-2+ years of experience working with diesel engines also preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
• Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and repair tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various conditions (e.g., outdoor, garage, on-site).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Cummins, CAT, Detroit Diesel, or similar engines.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
