Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Diesel Mechanic to join our team. In this vital role, you will perform maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and troubleshooting on a variety of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will help keep our fleet running smoothly and safely, supporting our commitment to excellence in transportation services.

Duties

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, and construction machinery using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical systems with precision.
• Utilize schematics, diagnostic tools, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Perform fabrication tasks such as welding and assembly to repair or modify equipment as needed.
• Service heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other construction machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Complete detailed maintenance records and reports for all repairs performed.
• Assist with heavy lifting and tire service to support overall equipment readiness.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment machinery including construction equipment servicing and farm machinery maintenance.
• Skilled in electrical diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, and troubleshooting complex equipment issues.
• Experience working with Caterpillar or similar OEM brands is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with schematics, HVAC systems on vehicles/equipment, and heavy equipment operation is a plus.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and perform soldering when necessary.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
