Diesel Mechanic

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of construction machinery, industrial equipment, and fleet vehicles. Duties

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, electrical systems, and other heavy equipment components using OEM schematics and advanced diagnostic tools
• Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, tire service, brake repairs, suspension adjustments, and alignment procedures to ensure machinery operates at peak efficiency
• Troubleshoot complex equipment issues such as electrical faults, hydraulic leaks, or mechanical failures using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematic diagrams
• Repair and overhaul construction machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and farm machinery while adhering to safety standards and OEM specifications
• Fabricate custom parts or modifications as needed for specialized equipment or repairs involving welding and metal fabrication techniques
• Assist with heavy lifting operations and perform equipment assembly or disassembly during repairs or maintenance projects
• Maintain detailed service records, inspection logs, and repair documentation to ensure compliance with safety regulations and warranty requirements

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred; strong background in heavy equipment maintenance is essential
• Extensive knowledge of construction machinery maintenance including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, HVAC systems, and industrial equipment
• Proficiency in electrical diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, schematics reading, and troubleshooting complex mechanical issues
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques and other maintenance tools
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment such as loaders or cranes when necessary
• Strong mechanical knowledge of transmissions, diesel engine diagnostics & repair (including diesel engine repair), air brake systems & suspension systems
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members and clients
• Valid certifications in heavy equipment operation or service technician credentials are a plus; familiarity with OEM parts and service standards highly desirable

Pay: $1,200.00 - $1,800.00 per week
