As a Diesel Mechanic at SS Grading Landscape & Excavation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the maintenance and repair of our fleet of vehicles and machinery. Your expertise will contribute to the smooth operation of our equipment, allowing us to continue delivering exceptional grading and excavation services.

Duties:

• Conduct routine maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks

• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs on various heavy-duty vehicles and equipment

• Utilize crane operations for lifting heavy parts when necessary

• Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot and repair machinery

• Collaborate with dealership representatives for parts procurement and technical support

• Perform inspections on shocks, struts, tires, and other components to ensure optimal performance

• Execute vehicle maintenance tasks such as brake adjustments, wheel alignments, and fluid flushes

• Apply mechanical knowledge to service a variety of equipment including heavy machinery and electrical systems

Skills:

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role

• Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair techniques

• Familiarity with servicing heavy machinery is advantageous

• Ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals effectively

• Proficiency in utilizing crane operations for lifting heavy components

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with dealership representatives

• Solid grasp of electrical systems within vehicles

• Demonstrated expertise in shocks, struts, tire service, and overall mechanical knowledge
