Job Summary Jim Taylor Ford Lincoln is seeking a full-time Ford Diesel Technician to join our team at our Ruston, LA location. This role is responsible for performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on Ford diesel vehicles while supporting a service department focused on quality, efficiency, and doing the job right.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, mechanically strong, and motivated to grow. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys solving problems, producing quality repairs, and contributing to a shop that values accountability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of diesel service experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong mechanical and Ford diesel diagnostic skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Basic computer competencies
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude
• Positive attitude and willingness to continue learning

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs efficiently and accurately on Ford diesel vehicles
• Inspect vehicles and identify needed repairs or maintenance
• Communicate repair needs clearly with service advisors and team members
• Complete work according to manufacturer and dealership standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and shop processes
• Take pride in quality workmanship and attention to detail
• Contribute to a productive, team-focused service department
