We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our dietary team at our 75-bed long-term skilled nursing facility in Punxsutawney, PA.

The Dietary Aide plays an important role in providing nutritious, appealing meals and maintaining a pleasant dining experience for our residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and food service
• Prepare and serve meals and beverages to residents
• Follow residents’ prescribed diets and dietary restrictions
• Assist with tray setup, delivery, and collection
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas
• Wash dishes and kitchen equipment
• Follow all food safety and infection-control procedures
• Work cooperatively with dietary staff and other departments
• Provide friendly and respectful service to our residents

Qualifications

• Previous dietary, food service, or healthcare experience preferred but not required
• Reliable and dependable
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to follow directions and established food safety procedures
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform routine physical tasks associated with the position
• A positive attitude and willingness to work with the elderly population
