Dietary Aide

Job Duties:

• Prepares and serves food according to menus and in correct portion sizes as mandated by yield guides.

• Perform various job flows as needed and directed by DDS.

• Will help plan weekly meals, prepare, and chop ingredients.

• Keeps food preparation areas sanitized and orderly.

• Performs cleaning duties, including sweeping, and mopping of floors, cleaning of equipment and work areas, dishwashing, and pot washing.

• Brews coffee, fills beverage machines, sets up hot and/or cold food areas.

• Stores silverware, dishes, glasses, cups, pots, etc.

• Collects and strips trays for dishwashing and participates in ware washing if assigned.

• Delivers, when necessary, food to staff, patients, and catering events.

• Complies with all state, Federal, local health department requirements for safe food handling

• Complies with all client location security protocols and guidelines.

• Checks and stores incoming supplies.

• Follows assigned break schedules; work weekends, evenings and holidays are required.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed.

• Attention to detail and sanitation rules.

• Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Serve Safe Certification

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.

• Must be able to access and navigate all areas.

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

• May be required work in excessive heat and cold in association with the kitchen environment.
