Dietary Aide

Duties

• Assist with food production and meal preparation in accordance with dietary guidelines and residents’ specific nutritional needs
• Serve meals to residents with friendly customer service, ensuring proper portioning and presentation
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, dining spaces, and food handling equipment following sanitation protocols
• Support safe food handling practices, including proper manual handling techniques and adherence to PPE use
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently during meal preparation and serving processes
• Assist with bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and ensuring a sanitized environment for residents
• Follow all workplace safety procedures, including heavy lifting techniques and safe lifting practices when handling supplies or equipment

Requirements

• Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred
• Knowledge of food safety standards such as JCAHO regulations and sanitation procedures
• Familiarity with food production, meal preparation, and serving techniques within a healthcare setting
• Ability to work efficiently with geriatric patients while adhering to dietary requirements and nutrition guidelines
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively throughout shifts
• Basic math skills for portion control and inventory management
• Commitment to workplace safety practices including manual handling, PPE use, and sanitation protocols
• CPR certification is a plus; willingness to obtain if not already certified
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely and stand for extended periods during shifts

Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
