Dietary Aide

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that residents receive nutritious and appetizing meals in a clean and safe environment. This position is essential in supporting the dietary department and enhancing the overall dining experience for our residents in skilled nursing.

Duties

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained during food handling, preparation, and serving.
• Support meal preparation activities, including cooking, cleaning, and bussing tables.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, dining rooms, and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Collaborate with dietary staff to plan menus that meet the nutritional needs of residents.
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with residents during meal times.
• Assist with inventory management by monitoring food supplies and reporting shortages.
• Follow all safety protocols while operating kitchen equipment and handling food.

Requirements

• Previous experience in dietary aide roles or similar positions within the food industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of food production, meal preparation, and dietary guidelines is essential.
• Experience in assisted living, nursing home, or hospital environments is highly desirable.
• Strong time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within designated time frames.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and sanitation practices is required.
• Excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive dining experience for residents.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
