West Woods of Niles is a 121-bed skilled nursing facility and top provider of care in Niles, Michigan. We have a part-time employment opportunity for a Dietary aide

Schedule:

• Part Time
• Opportunity to pick up additional hours/shifts
• 2nd Shift

Wage Information:

• Part Time: $18.22/hour
• Including $0.57/hour MI Wage Add On (approved until 09.30.27)

This position reports to: The Dietary Supervisor The primary functions and responsibilities of this position are as follows: (You will be evaluated on your ability to perform these functions competently with minimal supervision and/or reminders.) Additional duties may be added as necessary to meet the needs of the facility.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Follow oral and written directions.
• Set up trays and food service carts accurately and timely.
• Serve and bus trays.
• Pour and cover beverages.
• Assist in preparing, covering and labeling food.
• Assist in the proper care, use and cleaning of kitchen equipment & work area.
• Attend in-service training programs for Food Service employees.
• Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
• Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner as directed by supervisor and perform them in an effective, timely & professional manner.
• Assume accountability for all data contained in the employees’ handbook
• Scrape soiled dishes and load dishwasher properly.
• Maintain steady work pace to produce an adequate supply of clean kitchen utensils and dishes.
• Operate an automated dishwasher with solution-dispensing system.
• Sort clean dishes, transport to storage area and store according to dietary procedures.
• Come to work in neat, clean attire and consistently present an appropriate professional appearance.
• Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
• Consistently work cooperatively with residents, residents’ representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants and ancillary service providers.
• Observe facility safety, infection control and personnel policies and procedures. I have read and understand the functions and requirements of this position.
