Job Overview
We are looking for a friendly and detail-oriented Dietary Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support our dietary department by preparing and serving nutritious meals, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are met. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping others, has some experience in food service or healthcare settings, and enjoys working in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to dietary guidelines and safety standards.
• Support the food production process in a timely manner to ensure meals are served fresh and on schedule.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including sanitizing surfaces, washing dishes, and proper waste disposal.
• Help with food handling, serving, and bussing to ensure a smooth dining experience for residents or guests.
• Follow all sanitation, safety, and health regulations to promote a safe environment for staff and clients.
• Support the dietary team with inventory management by organizing supplies and reporting shortages.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to dietary needs or questions from residents or staff.

Skills

• Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety practices is essential.
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy meal times.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic culinary skills including food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly.
