Responsibilities

• Assist with food production and meal preparation in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards
• Serve meals to residents with professionalism, ensuring proper portioning and presentation
• Support the dietary department by cleaning kitchen equipment, dishes, and dining areas to uphold sanitation standards
• Help with food handling, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the food service area
• Follow all food safety protocols, including sanitation, proper storage, and handling of ingredients
• Collaborate with nursing home or assisted living staff to meet residents’ dietary needs and preferences
• Contribute to a positive dining experience by providing friendly customer service and attentive support during meal times

Skills

• Experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, serving, and sanitation practices
• Ability to manage time effectively while multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with food handling regulations and safety procedures
• Excellent customer service skills with a caring attitude towards residents or patients
• Previous dietary aide or kitchen experience preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
• Basic understanding of culinary techniques, meal preparation, and food safety standards
