Dietary Cook

Legend Oaks Healthcare & Rehabilitation Ennis is currently looking for an Experienced Full-time Cook to join our skilled nursing facility. Are you someone with high energy who has a passion for quality care and service for patients. If so, we would love to consider you!

Shift: Monday through Friday 6am-2pm

Essential Functions:

• Prepare food in accordance with standardized recipes, special diet orders, and sanitary regulations.
• Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc., and submit to the Director of Food Services.
• Assist in establishing food service production line and ensure meals are prepared on time.
• Process diet changed and new diets as received from Nursing Services.
• Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel as well as with other departments within the facility to assure that food service can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the residents.

Qualifications:

• Cooking experience in large quantities is required
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to follow recipes and diet restrictions
• Passion for helping people
• Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred
• Experience as a cook preferred

Pay: $11.50 - $12.50 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Nursing home experience: 1 year (Preferred)
