About the Role

The Dietary Manager oversees dining services to ensure residents receive safe, nutritious, and appealing meals in accordance with dietary needs and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily food service operations, including meal preparation, service, and sanitation.
• Ensure menus and meal service meet nutritional guidelines and physician-ordered diets.
• Maintain compliance with health department, safety, and infection control requirements.
• Train, schedule, and support dining services staff to ensure quality and consistency.
• Coordinate special meals and events in collaboration with other departments.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; formal training in culinary arts, nutrition, or food service management preferred.
• Experience in senior living, healthcare dining, or volume food service.
• Knowledge of safe food handling, sanitation, and dietary needs of older adults.
• Ability to lead, train, and communicate effectively with staff.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
