Dietary Manager

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dietary Manager to oversee the dietary department in our assisted living facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nutrition and dietetics, along with proven leadership skills. This role is essential in ensuring that our residents receive high-quality nutritional care tailored to their individual needs.

Duties

• Develop and implement dietary care plans based on patient assessments and individual nutritional needs.
• Supervise dietary staff, providing training and guidance to ensure compliance with health regulations and standards.
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess the nutritional status of residents, including those requiring tube feeding.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create comprehensive care plans that address the dietary needs of residents.
• Manage the dietary department’s budget, ensuring efficient use of resources while maintaining high-quality service.
• Monitor food preparation and service processes to ensure adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
• Provide health coaching to residents, educating them on nutrition and healthy eating habits.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of physiology and nutrition principles relevant to assisted living environments.
• Experience in dietary management within healthcare settings, particularly in assisted living or similar facilities.
• Proven supervisory experience with the ability to lead a team effectively.
• Excellent skills in patient assessment and the ability to create tailored dietary plans.
• Proficient in budgeting and resource management within a dietary department context.
• Strong leadership qualities, with an emphasis on fostering teamwork and collaboration among staff.
