Dietary Manager

Role: Dietary Manager responsible for leading daily dining operations in a skilled nursing environment, ensuring safe, nutritious, and quality meals for residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage food service operations in compliance with standards and regulations.
• Oversee staff to ensure accurate meal preparation, timely delivery, and service quality.
• Conduct rounds to assess service and identify improvements.
• Supervise diet office activities and communication programs.
• Enforce safety and sanitation standards across operations.
• Lead and develop team members, leveraging coaching models to maximize performance.
• Build strong client relationships, proactively addressing needs.
• Assist in financial management, including budgeting and inventory control.
• Drive operational efficiency through cost controls and productivity initiatives.
• Maintain a safe, compliant environment adhering to health and safety laws.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in patient food service and tray line operations within healthcare.
• At least 1 year of management experience.
• Certified Dietary Manager preferred; willingness to obtain ServSafe manager certification.
• Knowledge of therapeutic and texture-modified diets.
• Familiarity with applications such as inventory, budgeting, and timekeeping systems.
