Dietary service Worker

Purpose of Position:

Reports To: Nutrition Services Manager

Summary:

Reporting to the nutrition services manager, dietary service worker is responsible for assisting with the dietary needs of the residents.

Goals:

• Provide dietary services to all residents
• Maintain resident safety and comfort

Main Duties

• Prepare set up of food trays with items such as plates, flatware, cups, napkins, and condiments.

• Prepare food items such as meats, vegetables, fruits, and desserts by cutting, dicing, and slicing them.

• Prepare hot and cold beverages.

• Store foods in appropriate containers at proper temperatures according to the food safety policy.

• Clean-up dishes from dining room and house pantries.

• Load and run dishwasher according to proper procedure.

• Wipe tables and surfaces with disinfectant.

• Clean and set up dining area.

• Clean kitchen, dining room, and work areas.

Working Environment

• Rotating shifts of 8, 10 and 12 hours, with no split shifts.

• dietary service workers will be required to work every second weekend.

• Frequent handling of cleaning products.

• Frequent interaction with residents, family members, and the public.

Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour

Experience:

• Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
