About the role

Bloomsbury Pharmacy Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated and qualified Dietitian to join our healthcare team in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in promoting patient health and wellness through evidence-based nutritional guidance and dietary management. As a Dietitian, you will be instrumental in helping patients achieve their health goals by providing personalised nutritional advice and support. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes whilst working within a supportive healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive nutritional assessments and dietary history reviews for patients across diverse healthcare needs
• Developing and implementing individualised meal plans and nutritional intervention strategies tailored to patient conditions and preferences
• Providing evidence-based dietary counselling and education to patients and their families regarding nutrition, lifestyle modifications and health promotion
• Monitoring patient progress and adjusting dietary recommendations based on clinical outcomes and feedback
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals including doctors, nurses and other specialists to ensure coordinated patient care
• Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations
• Supporting disease management programmes including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, renal disease and obesity management
• Participating in health promotion activities, community education sessions and wellness programmes
• Staying updated with current nutritional science research and implementing best practice guidelines in clinical practice
• Able to understand community pharmacy retail operations and to dispense medications and supplements for minor ailments.

What we're looking for

• Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition from a recognised university
• Current professional registration or licensure as a Dietitian with the relevant Malaysian regulatory bodies
• Proven clinical experience in medical nutrition therapy and patient counselling
• Strong knowledge of nutritional science, medical conditions and dietary management protocols
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex nutritional concepts in an accessible manner
• Compassion and empathy when working with patients from diverse backgrounds and with varying health conditions
• Organised and detail-oriented approach to record-keeping and clinical documentation
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and verbal
• Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage
• Preferred: Experience working in a pharmacy or hospital setting
• Preferred: Knowledge of electronic health record systems and nutrition management software
