Purpose of The Job

The Digital Business Partner - Asset, Maintenance and Engineering serves as the strategic bridge between Maintenance, Engineering, Manufacturing and IT & Digital. The role partners with Asset, Maintenance and Engineering Process Owners to improve end-to-end asset-management processes and translate operational priorities into an executable digital roadmap.

The scope covers Asset Lifecycle Management, Maintenance Strategy, Maintenance Planning and Scheduling, Work Management, Preventive and Predictive Maintenance, Reliability Improvement, Failure and Root-Cause Management, Spare Parts and MRO Materials, Shutdown and Turnaround Management, Engineering Change, Capital Asset Handover, Asset Performance Management, and Maintenance Data and Analytics.

The role leads business-side delivery from problem discovery and To-Be process design through business requirements, business case, testing, acceptance, adoption and benefits realization. Maintenance and Engineering retain accountability for asset integrity, technical decisions, safety and operational performance. IT, OT, Automation and solution teams retain accountability for detailed technical architecture, development, integration and system configuration.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Co-own the Asset, Maintenance and Engineering capability strategy, digital roadmap and investment priorities with Maintenance, Engineering and Operations leadership.
• Ensure asset-management processes, maintenance strategies, operating roles, controls, master data and performance measures are standardized and ready before automation.
• Lead the end-to-end business delivery of Asset, Maintenance and Engineering digital initiatives within approved scope, timeline and budget.
• Translate asset-performance and maintenance problems into prioritized initiatives with clear reliability, cost, productivity, safety and user outcomes.
• Ensure business readiness, formal acceptance, sustained adoption and measurable benefits after go-live.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Asset, Maintenance and Engineering Process Transformation

• Maintain and continuously improve the L1-L4 Process Landscape covering Asset Lifecycle, Maintenance Strategy, Planning and Scheduling, Work Execution, Preventive and Predictive Maintenance, Reliability, Spare Parts, Shutdown Management, Engineering Change and Capital Asset Handover.
• Facilitate cross-functional workshops with Maintenance, Engineering, Production, Planning, Quality, Warehouse, Procurement, Finance, Safety and IT & Digital to identify asset losses, process gaps, recurring failures, constraints and improvement opportunities.
• Define standardized To-Be processes, operating roles, approval rules, controls, failure classifications, asset hierarchies, master-data ownership, performance measures and escalation requirements.
• Establish operational and financial baselines covering maintenance cost, asset availability, breakdown losses, MTBF, MTTR, planned-maintenance ratio, schedule compliance, backlog, emergency work, spare-parts consumption and contractor cost.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC, Root Cause Analysis and reliability methods to reduce recurring failures, process variation, waste, maintenance losses and lifecycle cost.
• Develop business cases and prioritize initiatives based on financial value, asset criticality, operational impact, safety, implementation effort, risk and organizational readiness.
• Translate approved To-Be processes into business requirements, URS, user stories, maintenance scenarios, acceptance criteria and requirements traceability.
• Ensure business and functional alignment across EAM/CMMS, SAP PM/MM, MES/MOM, SCADA/PIMS, condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, spare-parts inventory and Asset Performance Analytics without owning detailed technical design.
• Improve the quality and governance of asset registers, equipment hierarchies, maintenance plans, bills of materials, failure codes, task lists, spare-parts data and equipment history.
• Lead business-side delivery from discovery and solution design through fit-gap assessment, testing, UAT, deployment, stabilization and formal business acceptance.
• Coordinate Maintenance and Engineering SMEs, vendors and IT delivery teams across design reviews, data readiness, integration testing, defect prioritization, change control, cutover and go-live readiness.
• Manage the domain delivery plan, scope, milestones, budget, risks, issues, dependencies and vendor outcomes through the FoF governance structure.

Digital Project Delivery, Adoption and Benefits

• Ensure maintenance workflows, mobile work execution, inspection routines, alerts, exception handling and engineering controls remain practical for actual plant operations.
• Drive business readiness through SOP updates, training, super-user development, data cleansing, preventive-maintenance preparation, hyper care and BAU handover.
• Monitor adoption, asset performance and financial benefits jointly with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations and Finance and initiate corrective actions where results fall below target.
• Capture reusable processes, requirements, data standards and implementation lessons to reduce the cost and effort of future multi-site rollout.

Qualification

• 5 years of experience in Maintenance, Reliability, Engineering, Asset management, Operational Excellence, Manufacturing-process transformation or business-facing digital transformation.
• Strong practical experience across maintenance planning, work management, preventive/predictive maintenance, reliability, asset lifecycle, spare parts, shutdown management, or engineering change.
• Experience in manufacturing, preferably electronics/high-volume manufacturing, with exposure to automation, equipment traceability, MES/EAM integration, and structured processes.
• Proven use of Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC, Root Cause Analysis, or reliability methodologies to improve downtime, equipment reliability, cost, or productivity.
• Experience leading cross-functional digital/process projects from requirements and discovery through UAT, go-live, and stabilization.
• Strong understanding of EAM/CMMS and integration with ERP, MES/MOM, procurement, warehouse, finance, and shop-floor systems.
• Familiarity with key maintenance KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, asset availability, maintenance cost, planned-maintenance ratio, schedule compliance, and backlog.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification is required, with demonstrated practical application and measurable improvement results.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• Strong business analysis, stakeholder management, facilitation, and digital project delivery skills.
• Good communication skills in Thai and English.
• Advantageous: Experience with RCM, FMEA, TPM, predictive maintenance, ISO 55001, and certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, CMRP, Asset Management, Business Analysis, or Project Management.
