Duties

• Develop and execute comprehensive digital communication strategies across social media, websites, and other online platforms to enhance visibility and engagement.
• Create, curate, and manage engaging content including press releases, blog posts, social media updates, videos, and graphics that adhere to AP style guidelines.
• Manage social media accounts by scheduling posts, monitoring interactions, responding to inquiries, and analyzing performance metrics for continuous improvement.
• Conduct research on industry trends, audience preferences, and media outlets to inform content development and outreach efforts.
• Build and maintain media relations by preparing press materials, coordinating interviews, and facilitating positive coverage with journalists and influencers.
• Proofread and edit all communications for clarity, accuracy, and consistency; ensure adherence to professional standards in journalism and public relations.
• Support public speaking engagements by preparing presentation materials and assisting with message delivery to maximize impact.
• Collaborate with marketing teams on campaigns that integrate social media content marketing strategies with broader organizational objectives.
• Manage website content updates ensuring information is current, accurate, and optimized for search engines.
• Assist in designing visual elements using graphic design tools to complement written content for a cohesive digital presence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in public relations, journalism, or strategic communications with a strong portfolio of digital content creation.
• Excellent writing skills with mastery of AP style; capable of producing clear, engaging messages tailored for diverse audiences.
• Strong research skills to gather insights on target demographics and media landscapes.
• Effective public speaking abilities with experience in delivering presentations or speeches confidently.
• Proficiency in social media management tools and website management platforms; familiarity with analytics to measure campaign success.
• Knowledge of media relations practices including press release writing and distribution strategies.
• Ability to proofread meticulously while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
• Creative graphic design skills are a plus for developing visual content that enhances messaging efforts.
• Strong communication skills combined with the ability to work collaboratively across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
