Digital Designer - Fire

About the role:

Due to our continued growth, JHA is looking to identify a role of Digital Designer - Fire. This role will be filled by an individual who is extremely well organised, has great team and client management skills, a good understanding of both Autodesk’s Revit and AutoCAD software systems. The candidate will also be able to earn the respect of his / her clients and peers and has a goal to grow a career in this position within the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Developing coordinated building services drawings through both Revit and Autocad.
• Preparing and Organising documentation according to the JHA Drafting Standards
• Set-up new projects for the other services to work on
• Drafting admin duties, which include scanning, printing and filing
• In-time Identify and communicate possible design opportunities where applicable to the relevant engineer.
• You will have gained exposure to small and large projects across the residential, commercial and industrial buildings space. A keen eye for detail, the ability to work to project time constraints and work autonomously if required is essential. You must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate with engineers, sub-contractors and clients.

Skills and Experience:

• Drafting qualifications and experience in Autocad and Revit
• Minimum 1+ years in Autodesk Revit experience.
• Minimum 1+ years proficiency in Autocad.
• Knowledge and experience in working with Australian Standards
• A diploma in a related engineering field would be well regarded but is not essential
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working in an operational team environment
• Knowledge of Microsoft office/excel etc.
• Excellent team work and communication skills
