We are expanding our core beauty review vertical under GirlStyle Singapore—bringing a highly successful, visual-first format directly to our local audience. We need a founding Beauty Editor to contribute this vertical, build our local community from the ground up, and become Singapore's go-to beauty judge.

If you are a skincare nerd, a makeup obsessive, and a natural storyteller who can spot a beauty gimmick from a mile away, this is your stage.

💼 The Mission: Save SG Girls Time, Money, and Pore Space

You won't be writing long, dry articles or copying and pasting brand press releases. Your main job is to create highly savable, shareable, and unfiltered visual reviews on our social channels.

You will physically plan, shoot, and design these core formats:

• Melt-Proof Wear Tests: Putting viral foundations, cushions, and sunscreens to the test in real Singapore weather (outdoor humidity vs. freezing office AC) and taking unedited, close-up photos of your skin texture over an 8-hour day.
• Comparison Showdowns: Designing side-by-side photo carousels (e.g., "High-end vs. Watsons Dupes: Which cushion actually hides pores?").
• De-Hyping ("避雷"): Calling out overhyped, sticky, or pore-clogging products, and suggesting better, budget-friendly alternatives that actually work.
• Cheat Sheets & Product Guides: Creating simple, easy-to-read infographics explaining active ingredients (Retinol, Niacinamide, AHA/BHA) or simple skincare routines for different skin types.

🔥 Your Day-to-Day Execution

• Research & Product Sourcing: Keep an eye on what is trending on TikTok, Lemon8, and Xiaohongshu. Decide what we should buy and review next based on what SG girls are talking about.
• Scripting & Storyboarding: Write short, punchy scripts for short-form videos (IG Reels & TikTok) and plan the slide-by-slide layout for Instagram Carousels.
• Filming & Swatching: Get in front of the camera! Shoot high-quality swatches, application close-ups, and raw, honest reaction videos. You must be comfortable showing your real skin texture on camera.
• Video & Photo Editing: Edit your own short videos (using CapCut or Premiere) and design clean, aesthetic Instagram slides using templates.
• Replying to the Community: Read the comments, answer questions on DMs, and find out what products our followers want us to review next.
• AI-Assisted Writing: Use our internal AI tools to write your captions, generate video hook ideas, and handle quick admin tasks so you can spend less time typing and more time filming.

💡 About You

• You Know Beauty & Skincare: You understand active ingredients, different skin types, and common issues like oil control, clogged pores, and humid-weather makeup prep.
• Relatable on Camera: You are natural, friendly, and engaging. You talk to the camera like you are sharing a secret with your best friend.
• Practical Content Skills: You know how to shoot clear video on a phone, edit snappy clips on CapCut, and organize photos in a clean, uncluttered layout.
• No-Nonsense Attitude: You hate empty marketing buzzwords. You prefer direct "Slay or Skip" verdicts, clear ratings, and real, unfiltered proof.
• Background: 1-2+ years of experience creating beauty content, writing for lifestyle portals, or managing social media channels. (If you have your own active beauty IG/TikTok, show us!).
