Digital Forensics Analyst

About the Role

We're looking for a highly analytical, curious, and self-directed Digital Forensics Analyst to identify, investigate, and assess emerging digital risks. You'll combine OSINT, digital investigation, and critical thinking to turn fragmented information into clear, actionable intelligence, owning each investigation from initial lead through reporting and follow-up.

This is not a monitoring or ticket-processing role. We need someone who thinks independently, moves quickly, connects dots others miss, and knows when an isolated incident is actually part of a bigger picture.

Key Responsibilities

Research & Investigation

·         Review and triage digital intelligence and alerts for relevance, credibility, and significance.

·         Conduct independent OSINT research and investigations to build a full picture of identified activity.

·         Identify relevant people, organizations, digital identities, infrastructure, and relationships.

·         Correlate information across multiple sources, connecting current activity to historical patterns.

Analysis & Assessment

·         Apply structured analytical techniques to separate meaningful intelligence from noise.

·         Develop and test hypotheses and assess the potential impact and significance of findings.

·         Recognize recurring behaviors, connections, and trends — including when isolated incidents signal a broader or coordinated threat.

Reporting & Escalation

·         Produce clear, concise, evidence-based intelligence reports and periodic summaries.

·         Translate complex findings into insights stakeholders can act on, including confidence levels and open questions.

·         Escalate significant findings promptly.

Investigation Ownership

·         Own investigations end-to-end, managing priorities and workload independently.

·         Follow leads and pursue relevant lines of inquiry without requiring constant direction.

·         Help improve investigative coverage, intelligence quality, and analytical processes over time.

Qualifications

Experience (one or more of the following areas)

·         OSINT / open-source intelligence

·         Cyber threat intelligence or threat research

·         Digital investigations, digital forensics, or digital risk

·         Social media intelligence

·         Corporate, fraud, or executive protection investigations

·         Brand protection or security intelligence

·         Intelligence analysis

Core Competencies

·         Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and research skills

·         Ability to critically evaluate information and sources

·         Skilled at identifying patterns and relationships across disparate data

·         Strong written communication and ability to convey complex findings clearly

·         High attention to detail and ability to work and prioritize independently

Technical Skills (a plus, not required)

·         OSINT tools, threat intelligence platforms, or digital risk monitoring tools

·         Domain/infrastructure intelligence, link analysis, or digital footprint research

·         Data analysis and visualization

·         Python, SQL, scripting, or API/automation experience
