Digital LED Screen Support Technician

We are seeking a technically skilled and proactive Digital LED Screen Support Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the flawless operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-impact LED display systems.

Key Responsibilities:

·          Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Liaise directly with customers on all technical support issues. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues for LED video walls and control systems on-site or via remote access.

·          Receiving Stock: Receive, unpack and check-off all incoming digital stock again the original order for completeness

·          Installation & Configuration: Lead the physical setup, mounting, and cabling of LED panels and controller.

·          Maintenance & Quality Control: Perform routine inspections, firmware updates, and pixel repairs to ensure optimal display performance and longevity.

·          Content & Systems Management: Configure specialized software (e.g., Novastar LCT, Viplex Express & Vnnox) to schedule, scale, and align graphics and video content.

·          On-Site Event Support: Monitor screen performance during live broadcasts or events to quickly mitigate technical failures.

·          Safety & Compliance: Adhere to strict health and safety standards, particularly when working with electrical loads and rigging equipment at heights.

Qualifications & Skills:

·          Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of digital and LED technology, video signal flow (DVI, HDMI, SDI), and networking protocols (IP addressing, LAN/WAN).

·          Hands-on Experience: Proven history in AV technical support or LED screen support.

·          Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy LED modules and work at heights using ladders or scaffolding.

·          Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical skills to troubleshoot complex electrical and digital issues under pressure.

·          Software Proficiency: Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) and digital signage platforms.

·          Communication: Ability to translate technical jargon into clear instructions for non-technical clients and team members.

·          Electrical Experience: An electrical qualification or at least electrical experience will be an advantage.

Working Conditions:

·          Assisting our electrical department on any digital support downtime on any signage fabrication jobs as required.

·          Although the job is primarily Auckland based you are expected to have the ability to travel to various job sites for any on-site troubleshooting, maintenance and installations that may be required from time to time.

·          Upgrade path into the management of the company’s digital display side of the business.
