Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

• You will take responsibility and ownership for developing practical customer acquisition strategies for PCV’s portfolio companies.
• You will work with founders and management teams to understand their products, customers, competitive environment, and commercial objectives, and then translate that understanding into actionable marketing and growth plans.
• You will develop and execute campaigns across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Google, WhatsApp, email, and other relevant channels.
• You will also be expected to operate beyond digital channels. This includes direct outreach, WhatsApp engagement, email campaigns, lead follow-up, partnership development, community activation, referral initiatives, events, and other forms of direct customer acquisition.
• You will help portfolio companies refine their positioning, messaging, offers, landing pages, sales funnels and customer journeys.
• You will monitor leads, conversions, customer acquisition costs and other relevant metrics and use the data to continuously improve campaigns.
• You will work with designers, videographers, developers, freelancers and external agencies where specialist support is required, while retaining ownership of the overall growth strategy and execution.
• You will also be comfortable appearing in videos, representing portfolio companies at events and speaking directly with customers, partners and prospective clients.
• Experience marketing technology products is particularly important for this role.
• You should have demonstrated experience working with a technology company, SaaS business, digital platform, fintech, marketplace, professional technology service or other technology-driven business.
• You should understand the particular challenge of selling products that customers may not immediately understand or know that they need.
• You should be capable of translating a technical product into a simple and compelling customer proposition and developing campaigns that move a prospective customer from awareness to interest, conversation, and ultimately purchase.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 4 years of experience
• A minimum of a degree in a related field
• We are looking for someone who is commercially curious and naturally interested in how businesses acquire customers.
• You should be able to think strategically but also execute without waiting for someone else to tell you what to do.
• You should be a strong communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable dealing directly with founders
• Customers and senior executives.
• You should be presentable, confident and capable of representing a company professionally both online and offline.
• You should understand social media, paid advertising, content marketing, email marketing, CRM, lead generation analytics and conversion funnels.

Remuneration: NGN 350,000 - 400,000 monthly. Depending on experience and capability, together with an equity participation opportunity.
