Digital Marketing Manager

About the role

You will be the content, campaign and brand activation engine for Sawmill. A hands-on role to own the end-to-end creation of marketing content and campaign assets. Fully on-site at our Matakana Brewery, minimum 32 hours per week with flexible scheduling.

Key responsibilities

• Shoot and edit social and content output.
• Run brand activations: events, on-premise visits, retail.
• Shape our brand narrative through PR and storytelling across media, events and community channels.
• Develop and run trade marketing campaigns — from supporting on-premise customers to national retail activations.
• Contribute to new product development.
• Make smart, considered decisions with a lean budget - no big agency spend.
• Collaborate closely with sales, production, creative suppliers and retail partners.
• Work closely with the Marketing Coordinator and wider team to keep creative output aligned with strategy.

About you

• 3+ years running digital marketing, content or social channels end to end - planning, creating and publishing.
• Know what good content looks like and can make it yourself - photo, video, copy - as well as brief it.
• Comfortable owning a budget and reporting on what it's delivering.
• Can hold a brand partnership and represent us at events.
• You've worked independently - this role is about scope and ownership.
• Experience in FMCG or retail is useful.
• Hold NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
