About KidsCan
At KidsCan, we're committed to helping Kiwi kids reach their full potential by providing the food, clothing and health essentials they need to thrive. As one of New Zealand's leading charities, we work every day to remove barriers to education and create brighter futures for children experiencing hardship.
The opportunity
This is an opportunity to lead the digital direction of KidsCan, helping grow support for thousands of children across New Zealand. You'll have the autonomy to develop strategy, influence decision-making and drive digital performance across the organisation, while working alongside a passionate team committed to making a meaningful difference.
This is a strategic role where you'll own the development and execution of digital initiatives across acquisition, retention, audience engagement, website performance, content effectiveness and digital capability. You'll play a key role in helping the organisation continue to evolve its digital maturity while using data and insights to inform fundraising, marketing and investment decisions.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Supporter Services and working closely with teams across fundraising, partnerships, supporter services, programmes and communications, you'll ensure digital activity is integrated, insight-led and aligned to organisational objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and evolve KidsCan's digital strategy and annual roadmap
- Identify opportunities to improve supporter acquisition, retention and engagement
- Own website strategy, optimisation, customer journeys and digital performance
- Partner with external agencies across SEO, GEO, SEM and paid media activity
- Use audience insights, behavioural data and performance analytics to inform decision-making
- Guide digital content and messaging strategies to maximise engagement
- Deliver meaningful reporting across digital channels and revenue outcomes
- Lead digital and website projects, ensuring delivery on time and to a high standard
About you
You'll be strategic digital marketer, commercially minded and passionate about using digital channels to deliver meaningful outcomes. You enjoy balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution and are motivated by the opportunity to influence growth and impact. You will enjoy working highly collaboratively – decisions are rarely made in isolation, we value the input and diversity of thought from our team.
You'll bring:
- 5+ years' experience in digital marketing, digital strategy or performance marketing
- Experience developing and executing digital growth strategies
- Strong knowledge of digital channels, analytics, customer journeys and optimisation
- Confidence working with data to uncover insights and improve performance
- Exceptional stakeholder management and collaboration skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a continuous improvement mindset
- A genuine connection to our purpose and impact.
Why KidsCan?
You’ll have the opportunity to lead meaningful work that changes lives. You'll join a collaborative culture that values curiosity, accountability, innovation and purpose, with the chance to influence organisational outcomes while making a tangible difference for children and families across New Zealand.
