Digital Merchant

The Digital Merchant is responsible for ensuring Cole Haan's global digital commerce sites are world class shopping experiences based on winning assortment presentation, shop-ability that is second-to-none, and compelling merchandise content storytelling. The Digital Merchant is a key role on the Digital Commerce team, which is part of our growing Digital organization.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Assures product storytelling differentiates the Cole Haan brand and drives online conversion at ColeHaan.com
• Partners with merchandise buying and planning teams to ensure product flow and assortment availability
• Build, maintain, and optimize product assortment and category pages on the ecommerce site, ensuring accurate, compelling, and on-brand presentation
• Manage product placement and sort order to maximize product discoverability
• Owns onsite search relevancy and filtering optimizations
• Executes site taxonomy and product shopping categories to drive product browsing and add-to-cart behaviors
• Manage and main content across the site and linking strategies for all relevant on site and media content
• Reads and interprets business trends, analytics and testing results to implement change and optimization related to sales and purchase behaviors
• Applies continuous improvement related to product sorting and advanced methods to connect visitors to product in their purchase journeys
• Identifies opportunities for product creation teams based on eCommerce consumer behavior and voice-of-consumer feedback

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• 2-4 years experience in digital and/or omnichannel retail merchandising, footwear experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree required

• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office a
• Experience with ecommerce platforms and merchandising/CMS tools (e.g., Shopify, Bloomreach or similar tools)

• Must demonstrate a solid understanding of fashion trends and provide input to design relative to Wholesale channel needs while also maintaining focus on the financial targets of the Cole Haan wholesale and retail financial targets
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral; ability to communicate analytical conclusions with leadership effectively

Base Salary/Hourly Range: From $80,000 to $100,000 annually*

Bonus Eligibility: Yes, eligible for annual target bonus based on company and individual performance
