About the role
The Digital Officer will function as a junior project specialist embedded within the Digital & IT division. In this role, you will play a crucial operational support role for senior digital leaders, acting as the central point for IT budget tracking, executive slide deck creation, project status reporting, and cross-border alignment with regional and global business units.
Key responsibilities
- Assist digital and IT leaders in tracking project milestones, deliverables, risks, and dependencies across various digital initiatives.
- Consolidate weekly/monthly status reports from project managers into clear, actionable dashboards for executive management.
- Maintain central project documentation, governance frameworks, and operational runbooks.
- Help track and monitor annual IT operating and capital expenditure budgets (OpEx / CapEx).
- Coordinate with Finance and Procurement teams to process purchase orders (POs), invoices, vendor contracts, and monthly accruals.
- Prepare regular budget variance reports and financial reconciliations for digital projects.
- Draft, edit, and refine high-quality PowerPoint presentations for steering committee meetings, town halls, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and board updates.
- Translate complex digital and technical concepts into clear, visually engaging business narratives for non-technical stakeholders.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for routine communications across regional (Asia) and global (Canada/US) teams.
- Organize and facilitate cross-functional alignment meetings, ensuring clear agendas, pre-read materials, and prompt follow-up on action items.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Communications, or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years of professional experience in a PMO, IT management, project coordination, or corporate administration role—preferably within financial services, insurance, fintech, or top-tier management consulting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Advanced PowerPoint design skills and Excel capabilities (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic financial modeling) are highly preferred.
- Basic understanding of IT project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Familiarity with project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Trello, Asana, MS Project) is an advantage.
- Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills.
- Proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is an added advantage.
- Meticulous with numerical accuracy and visual presentation standards.
- High energy, proactive mindset, and the ability to multi-task under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
