Digital Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain server environments including Windows Server, Linux, VMware vSphere, and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure to guarantee high availability and performance.
• Oversee network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, Cisco routers, firewalls, DHCP, DNS, IIS, and Cisco switches to ensure robust connectivity and security.
• Implement and monitor information security measures including network security protocols, firewall configurations, Active Directory management, and disaster recovery plans to safeguard organizational data.
• Lead technical support initiatives by supervising desktop support teams, managing remote access software solutions, and providing expert assistance for complex IT issues.
• Coordinate system engineering projects involving software development, system upgrades, and infrastructure enhancements using tools like SharePoint, ServiceNow, Jira, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Conduct analysis of network performance metrics using SolarWinds and other monitoring tools to identify vulnerabilities or bottlenecks for continuous optimization.
• Supervise a team of IT professionals by providing leadership in project management, organizational planning, and staff development to foster a high-performing technical environment.

Experience

• Proven experience managing enterprise-level server environments with expertise in Windows Server, Linux operating systems, VMware vSphere, and cloud services such as AWS or Azure.
• Strong background in network engineering including LAN/WAN design, Cisco networking equipment configuration (routers, switches), firewall management, DHCP/DNS setup, and network security best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to develop disaster recovery strategies and implement information security protocols aligned with industry standards like ITIL.
• Extensive experience providing technical support across diverse platforms with excellent problem-solving skills in computer networking and systems troubleshooting.
• Management or supervisory experience leading IT teams or projects with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively under pressure.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds or equivalent network performance analysis software is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of software development processes and tools including SQL databases (Microsoft SQL Server), IIS web server management, SharePoint administration, vSphere virtualization platform, and remote access solutions.

Pay: £28,677.11-£64,530.97 per year
