Location: Remote, UK

Contract: Initial contract until 7 December, with potential extensions

IR35: Inside IR35

Rate: £500-550 per day

Security clearance: Active SC required

TrueNorth is recruiting a Digital Performance Analyst to support a central government digital service. You’ll help teams understand how their services are performing, identify opportunities for improvement and turn data into clear, practical recommendations.

This role would suit someone with government experience who is comfortable working in an Agile delivery team and can combine strong SQL skills with an understanding of digital service performance.

What you’ll be doing

• Develop and maintain service performance dashboards that help teams monitor outcomes and make informed decisions.
• Design and implement performance measurement frameworks, including KPIs and OKRs.
• Identify relevant data sources, validate their quality and bring together data from multiple platforms.
• Collect, cleanse and analyse data to identify trends, investigate issues and produce actionable insights.
• Develop hypotheses, test assumptions and communicate findings through clear visualisations and recommendations.
• Work closely with delivery teams and stakeholders to inform improvements to digital services.

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience working within a government department and a GDS delivery environment.
• Experience working in Agile teams.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience using analytics or monitoring platforms such as Google Analytics, Splunk, Datadog or equivalent.
• Experience building performance dashboards using tools such as Looker Studio / Google Data Studio.
• A track record of developing performance frameworks and selecting meaningful measures for a service or product.
• The ability to explain complex findings clearly and connect analysis to decisions.
• Active SC clearance.

Useful additional experience

• Power BI, Tableau, QlikView or Power Query.
• Python or R.
• Security and data privacy considerations.
• Using analysis to recommend and evaluate service changes.
