Digital Print Operator

About the role

This is a hands-on position covering digital print production, finishing and quality control across a variety of commercial print.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate digital printing equipment, colour & stock.
• Prepare artwork and manage files through RIP software.
• Select the correct media, ink profiles and production settings for each job.
• Monitor print quality, colour consistency and job specifications throughout production.
• Perform finishing tasks such as laminating, guillotining, folding, hand work etc.
• Complete routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance of equipment.
• Identify and resolve minor printing or production issues.
• Accurately record materials and production information against jobs.
• Work with the production team to meet deadlines and maintain workflow.
• Keep the print room clean, safe and well organised.

About you

• Has experience in digital print production environment.
• Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in producing quality work.
• Is comfortable working with computers and learning production software.
• Can read and follow job specifications accurately.
• Is organised and able to manage multiple jobs and deadlines.
• Communicates well and works effectively as part of a team.
• Has a practical approach to problem-solving.
• Is reliable, punctual and committed to workplace safety.
• Is physically capable of handling print media and working in an active production environment.
